Research on Green Innovation Performance of Manufacturing Industry and Its Improvement Path in China

Green innovation, which combines “innovation-driven” and “green development,” is one of the most powerful ways to overcome resource environmental constraints enhance manufacturing industry sustainability. Based on innovation value chain perspective, green process decomposed into two stages: scientific technological R&D achievement transformation. Then, using three-stage DEA Malmquist index model measure performance China’s industry, compare its regional heterogeneity from dual perspectives static efficiency dynamic productivity. In addition, this paper further discusses improvement path industry. The findings are as follows: (1) in China at a comparatively low degree has great potential for improvement. Moreover, it shows apparent heterogeneity: eastern region higher than that western region, both center confirming phenomenon “central collapse”. (2) productivity “W-type” evolution tendency, with progress key driving factor, while technical does not clearly exhibit “catch-up effect”. Additionally, significant central regions, indicating “backwardness advantage”. (3) located combination IV, indicates high rate but productivity; III, II, Last least, puts forward three kinds paths industry: unilateral breakthrough, step-by-step stimulating jumping type.
